Pappy Van Winkle'southward Family unit Reserve is the flagship brand of bourbon whiskey owned by the "Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery" company. It is distilled and bottled by the Sazerac Company at its Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.[1] Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve is often regarded equally one of the finest bourbons in the world, and can exist extremely difficult to find due to its very low product and high demand.[two] [3] [4] [v] [vi]

Like all modernistic bourbons, Van Winkle bourbons are made primarily from corn and aged in charred new American oak barrels. A distinguishing characteristic of Van Winkle bourbons is their employ of wheat as the secondary ingredient instead of the usual rye, and their additional inclusion of barley malt.

Pappy Van Winkle'south Family unit Reserve has won various awards.[1] [22]
